REV. FR. JOHN FERREIRA
Rev. Fr. John Ferreira was born in Bassein in Maharashtra. From the very young age, he had a strong and insatiable desire to work for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden. To fulfil this desire, he joined the minor Seminary in Agra. For further studies he was sent to St. Joseph’s Seminary, Allahabad where he completed his philosophy and theology studies. He did his regency in the Cathedral House. He was ordained priest on 11th April 1981.

A man of good nature and resourcefulness, Fr. John has shouldered many responsibilities . After his ordination in 1981, he was appointed  vice-rector of St. Lawerence Minor seminary where he served till 1983. From 1983-1987 he served as the principal of St. Felix Nursery school and Manager of St. Paul’s Junior High School. His career graph rose steadily when he was appointed Principal of St. Francis Inter College, Hathras in 1987. From 1993-1994 , he was the parish priest of St. Patrick’s Church Agra. This was followed by a stint as the Principal of St. John’s School, Firozabad. At present he is the principal of St. Theresa’s and Vidya devi Jindal School, Kosi Kalan.

Fr. John Ferreira has a post graduate Degree besides a Bachelors in Education. He also holds diplomas in Yoga, Herbal medicines and music. An accomplished musician , he has composed songs and hymns and set them to soul stirring music. A gentleman with tremendous charism and unflappable energy and a wonderful sense of humour , he is  particular about the feelings of others. He has helped and encouraged everybody who has come in touch with him.
